HEAL SENIOR MANAGER

What is your favorite program or service offering that Sonoma CAN provides and why?

I would have to say that my heart is passionate about the whole family approach model we have adopted and one of my favorite programs is the integrated health and wellness component we offer.

Sonoma CAN has been in Sonoma County for over 55 years…how do you envision the organization serving the community for the next 55 years? Where do you want to see our energies and resources go?

I envision our agency increasing our partnerships with other community agencies to strengthen our whole family approach and have the capacity to offer more services that support the families to thrive within their communities.  I believe that in order to provide such services for the families in our communities, we must focus our resources on hiring staff that share the same values and mission!

What is your favorite Sonoma County gem (a restaurant, park, hike, store, event, etc.) …that you enjoy with friends and family?

I enjoy the many hiking locations that Sonoma County has to offer, in particular I enjoy hiking Foothill Park as it offers some good climbs and great views.

How did you hear about Sonoma CAN and what made you want to join the team? I heard about Sonoma CAN through previous co-workers and in researching agencies that help families, Sonoma CAN came up.

I decided to join the team after reading about the agency’s vision, mission and values and after interviewing with some of the directors/supervisors!!

Prior to joining Sonoma CAN, I have experience working for a non-profit agency providing community based, mental health services for the last 14 years to youth and families in Sonoma County involved with either Juvenile Probation, Child Welfare and Behavioral health system.  During that that time I provided direct care work as a clinician, improved systems and processes as a supervisor for Bilingual staff and strengthen partnerships with local agencies across Sonoma County.  I have a Bachelors degree in Sociology from the UC Santa Barbara and a Master’s in School Counseling from Sonoma State University.  I am very passionate about helping families thrive within their communities and focusing on promoting diversity and inclusion within our agency.
