Kathy Kane
Kathy Kane has been a part of the CAP Sonoma team since 2010, first as a volunteer and then in 2012, as an employee, developing community oral health programs. She continued to take on additional responsibilities and roles, advancing to her current role as Chief Program Officer. Kathy is responsible for overseeing all programs across the organization and works closely with the CEO, other Executive team members, Directors, and greater team Leadership to support the vision and strategy of CAP Sonoma. Kathy has a Bachelor of Science degree from Loma Linda University and a certificate from University of the Pacific, RDHAP program. Kathy ran her own business for 15 years providing dental hygiene care to low-income and homebound populations, as well as consulting and giving speaker presentations to dental professionals. She has embraced opportunities for leadership and growth over the years by taking on work as a compliance consultant, subject matter expert for the State of CA Dental Hygiene Board, as a contributing author for a dental hygiene curriculum textbook and has worked in the dental industry as a professional educator. She had been a leader in her professional association, most recently serving as President of the CA Dental Hygienists’ Association. In her free time, Kathy can be found hiking around Sonoma County, traveling, or enjoying quality time with her friends and daughter, all while enjoying the region’s great food and wine.
